摘要

•A high-yield organic nonlinear optical crystal (3-HBST) synthesis step was found.•Using synchrotron radiation X-ray topography observed defects.•Thermal properties of the title compound were investigated by TG-DSC analysis.•The grown 3-HBST crystal has high transmittance of 89% in the IR region.
