The Study of Objective Evaluation of Women's Pants' Fit

The fit of women's pants was analyzed based on three-dimensional body scanning data. The pants for testing were constructed with same sizes and five kinds of fabric were used to provide fit for each of experimental subjects, whose ages range from 30 to 40 years old. Scanning data of a subject wearing skinny clothing were compared with of the data of the same subject wearing the test pants in standing position. The differences of data between the pants and body scans were determined for circumference, slice area, surface area, and volume measurements at various locations. Meanwhile, each pair of pants worn by the subject has eight measured pressure points that were in six postures with AM3037, a balloon type sensor. The correlation between pressure evaluation and the above-mentioned differences was studied. With statistical analysis, the objective fit assessment method was gained.
