Qualitative assessment of lighting conditions in occupational context

Lighting is a physical agent with influence on the worker and, therefore, it must be evaluated and controlled. The Portuguese Legislation presents parameters to carry out a qualitative evaluation of this physical agent. In order of doing that assessment, a survey of all the requirements to be evaluated in an occupational context related to this topic was carried out, including the main aspects such as illumination characteristics, personal characteristics and others. Those requirements were aggregated in a kind of check list, which can be a useful instrument to characterize the aspects related to illumination in occupational health context.
