Kikuchi disease and systemic lupus erythematosus: a case report

Kikuchi disease (KD) is a rare, benign and self-limited condition characterized by fever, cervical lymphadenopathy and leukopenia. The differential diagnosis of KD should include systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE), tuberculosis and lymphoma because of similar clinical and histological features and entirely different treatment and prognosis. KD and SLE may present together. In this case report, we present a female patient who was diagnosed with KD and SLE simultaneously.
