摘要
This study aim to develop the anti-aging serum containing young coconut juice powder and to study the physicochemical properties and stability of young coconut juice (YCJ) powder. Serum containing YCJ powder was formulated and characterized in terms of its antioxidant activity and total phenolic content. The stability was studied under heating and cooling cycle tests for 6 cycles and room temperature for 3 months. In addition, in vitro skin permeation of both YCJ powder and serum preparation was performed using the modified Franz's diffusion cells. Cell proliferation and viability was determined using human dermal fibroblast cells. The results show that serum formulations were stable at room temperature for 3 months and under heating and cooling cycles for 6 cycles. In vitro skin permeation results show that the selected formulation has the best skin permeability and skin retention properties. It showed high antioxidant activity and total phenolic content. Moreover, both YCJ powder and the selected serum formulation were not toxic in HDF cells. Anti-aging serum of the selected formulation is the potential product that is used to prevent free radicals at the target site of the skin.
