Fully automated graphitic carbon nitride-based disposable pipette extraction-gas chromatography-mass spectrometric analysis of six polychlorinated biphenyls in environmental waters

•A fully automated sample preparation-analysis method was developed for PCBs.•g-C3N4 was used as sorbent for automated disposable pipette extraction.•g-C3N4 had high dispersibility in sample/solvent and strong affinity for PCBs.•1-Undecanol droplets were essential for efficient transfer of PCBs onto g-C3N4.•Improved analytical performance was achieved for PCBs.
