摘要

•The chitosan coated magnetic nanoparticles in the presence of urea were prepared.•TEM, TGA, UV/VIS and 13C NMR were used to prove the chitosan coating of MNPs.•The chitosan layer influences on the heating efficiency of MNPs in hyperthermia.•Chit-MNPs destroy a-lactalbumin amyloid fibrils in concentration-dependent manner.
