摘要
We analyzed the stomach contents of 209 individuals of the greenhouse frog Eleutherodactylus planirostris from 3 sites of the Yucatan Peninsula, Mexico, where it is an invasive species. Oribatida and Formicidae were the numerically dominant groups, the latter along with Isopoda, had the highest relative importance. Schizomida is reported for the first time as part of the diet of this frog. We found an ontogenetic change in the diet composition, small preys (mites and springtails) were more consumed by juveniles, whereas larger preys (ants) were more consumed by adults. Diet did not vary between sexes. We found an individual level of specialization in the diet, higher than expected by chance in the 3 sites. The presence of this species in the Yucatan Peninsula is worrisome because of the high number of prey eaten by individual, and its wide distribution in the region. Therefore, this work provides baseline information for future studies focused on the impacts of the species in the invaded sites from this region.
