A Facile Solvothermal Synthesis of Anatase Nanorods with Adjustable Aspect Ratios

Monodisperse highly crystalline anatase nanorods were prepared by a facile and improved solvothermal method. It is found that the aspect ratio of nanorods can be tuned by adjusting the experimental parameters. The crystal growth mechanism and shape evolution have been discussed in this contribution. Our synthetic strategy may provide an alternative and effective route to synthesize shape-controllable metal oxide nanoparticles in organic phase.
