OXIDATION OF OXIMES WITH POTASSIUM PERMANGANATE ADSORBED ON GRAPHITE REAGENT UNDER HETEROGENEOUS CONDITIONS

An efficient and environmentally friendly oxidative cleavage of oximes to their parent carbonyl compounds with potassium permanganate supported on graphite under heterogeneous conditions at room temperature in the yield between 82-94% is described. The current procedure is a new application of the oxidation for this reagent.
