摘要
In this study, the surface modification of boron nitride nanosheets (BNNSs) with poly 2-acrylamido-2-methyl- propanesulfonate (PAMPS) brushes is achieved through electron transfer atom transfer radical polymerization (ARGET ATRP). BNNSs surface was first modified with alpha-bromoisobutyryl bromide (BIBB) via hydroxyl groups, then PAMPS brushes were grown on the surface through ARGET ATRP. Polyelectrolyte brushes modified BNNSs were further characterized by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), thermogravimetric analyses (TGA), x-ray powder diffraction (XRD) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The concentraction of water-dispersion of BNNSs have been enhanced significantly by PAMPS and the high water-dispersible functional BNNSs/ PAMPS composites are expected to have potential applications in biomedical and thermal management in electronics.
