摘要
The nearly complete coverage of the South Western Adriatic Margin (SWAM) by multi-beam bathymetry and shallow-seismic imagery shows evidence of stacked, multiple landslide deposits that took place during the late-Quaternary. Landslides belongs to two categories based on their external morphology and internal organization. The differences between the two groups seem to reflect the stratigraphy of the SWAM which is in turn controlled by the oceanographic regime acting along the slope and that dictates the pre-failure depositional environments and stratal geometry.
