Possession and use of ICT in Colombian private higher education firms

The present research aims to characterize the possession and use of ICT in Colombian private higher education firms. The sample is the 5,231 firms, 165 of them of private higher education, that yielded the ICT module of 2015 Service Annual Survey (DANE, 2016a). Use of ICT tools, type of applications or computer programs, the percentage of employed persons using ICT tools at work, use of ICT networks, the percentage of firms with higher speed of internet connection, Activities or services through the Internet and the use of electronic platform to sell products and / or buy inputs predominate in Colombian companies of private higher education with respect to those of the service sector as a whole.
