Dielectric behaviour of n-decanol ethanolamine mixtures at microwave frequencies

Values of dielectric constant (epsilon') and loss factor (epsilon ") have been experimentally determined for binary liquid mixtures of n-decanol + ethanolamine at 6.7 GHz microwave frequencies at 39 degrees C. The values of epsilon' and epsilon " have been used to evaluate the molar polarization, apparent polarization and the excess activation energy, viscosity and viscous flow have also been calculated. These parameters have been used to explain the formation of 2 : 1 complexes for the system (n-decanol + ethanolamine).
