ECOLOGICAL WASTEWATER CLEANING OF SWINE FARMS USING SOLAR ENERGY

Some investigations have been performed, based on a series of measurements, on the macrophytes cultivation in several types of water contaminated with waste from hog farms. The results have shown a good correlation between the purification quality and the biomass cultivation time. As the purification of water is necessary during all the seasons, the biological purification based on the tropical macrophytes cultivation must be extended for the cold months by using the greenhouse effect.
