By using the finite element software ABAQUS, numerical model of multi-ribbed composite wall(MRCW) was established, and the nonlinear damage analysis was performed. On the basis of numerical simulation, the damage model of MRCW was established. The shear span ratio of numerical models were changed to study the influence of shear span ratio on mechanical properties of the wall. Results show that both proposed global and component damage index index of the wall can reflect the damage development of different parts of the wall. In addition, it also demonstrate that when the shear span ratio gets larger, damage of out frame component damage occurs earlier and global damage index of the wall increases more slowly.
