摘要
The 1+/n+ method, originally developed at the Laboratoire de Physique Subatomique & Cosmology (LPSC) laboratory, is implemented at GANIL for the production of radioactive ion beams as well as for studying the production of intense stable metallic beams. Regarding radioactive ion beam production, the ECRIS type Phoenix charge breeder of the Systeme de Production d'Ions Radioactifs Acceleres en Ligne (SPIRAL1) has been installed in the midst of the SPIRAL1 Low Energy Beam Transport (LEBT). First beam of Ar-40(n+) was extracted during May 2017 demonstrating a distribution peaked on the 9+ charge state with 16% in particle of ionization efficiency. Concerning stable ion beam production, the Grenoble Test Source (GTS) ECR ion source, providing stable ion beam for the Accelerateur pour les Recherches Interdisciplinaires avec les Ions de Basse Energie (ARIBE) facility, is under modification to include a charge breeding capability to study a new injection process for producing high intensity metallic beams.
