Agent Supported Process Mining

In order to improve their competitiveness, organisations seek solutions that support analysis and evaluation of the activities they conduct. One of management theories is a theory that perceives an organisation in terms of its business processes. In this approach, the tasks performed by an organisation's employees are considered as an element of processes aimed at achievement of particular business goals. Modelling of such processes provides an insight into the specificity of an organisation's operation, but also helps to improve the functioning of an organisation through analysis and evaluation of the activities conducted by employees. The data on how processes run can be used to discover problems connected with the execution of such processes and to simulate the impact of changes in a process on how the whole process runs. The aim of the paper is to present a solution that supports the process of discovery of business process knowledge using agent technologies.
