摘要
The investigation of Si-induced isotopic chain of reactions Si-28,Si-30+C-12 populating compound nuclei (CN) Ca-40,Ca-42*, respectively, with Z=20 shell closure and neutron number is gradually moving away from N = 20 neutron shell closure, has been performed within clusterisation approach of dynamical cluster-decay model (DCM) using deformed configurations effects included up to quadruple deformations (beta 2i) for two nuclei having optimum orientations theta(opt.)(i). The experimental fusion cross-sections of Si-30+C-12 is reproduced using DCM and further, the fusion cross-sections are predicted for other isotope of Si beam on C-12 at lower energies to investigate the fusion process in terms of hindrance as function of neutron number. It is observed that the quantum tunneling of the fragments is less hindered in case of Ca-40*, as compared to Ca-42*, at the lower values of E-c.m. i.e. having less barrier modification Delta V-B in the case of former.
