Acute flaccid myelitis outbreak through 2016–2018: A multicenter experience from Turkey

•The incidence of AFM is increasing worldwide in the pediatric population.•The median age decreases with every outbreak.•A high index of suspicion is necessary for the diagnosis, because AFM has a broad spectrum of differential diagnoses.•Poor prognosis is associated with the increased number of thelimbs involved and with an abnormal brain MRI.
