Upper limb rehabilitation interventions using virtual reality for people with multiple sclerosis: A systematic review

•Associated problems with the upper limb are common amongst people with multiple sclerosis and can negatively interfere with everyday activities.•Virtual reality rehabilitation is growing in research popularity, but evidence is limited on the effectiveness of virtual reality in improving upper limb function in people with Multiple Sclerosis.•From the 10 articles included in this review, some reported that upper limb function improved following virtual reality interventions, but not all the improvements were statistically significant.•Further studies should evaluate the effect of virtual reality intervention on upper limb function in people with Multiple Sclerosis, and clearly define the optimal intervention protocol for upper limb rehabilitation using virtual reality.
