摘要

•Rabbit anti-deer polyclonal antibody showed cross-reactions against other ruminant species.•In-house ELISA compared to fecal culture obtained high sensitivity and specificity.•In-house ELISA was able to detect specific PPA antibodies in red deer serum samples.
