Synthesis And Structural Characterization Of Substituted Calcium Hexaferrites

A series of aluminumsubstituted calcium hexaferrite with different concentrations were synthesized by solution combustion method. Structural characterization was done with the help of X-ray powder diffraction (XRD) patterns of prepared samples indicated the formation a single M-type single phase hexagonal ferrite with space group 167: R-3c, hexagonal of P6(3)/mmc. The crystal size calculated by the Debye Scherer equation was found to be 40.54 nm and 45.45 nm. The lattice constants, cell volume of samples were calculated from XRD data. Surface morphology of the particle was studied and particle size was confirmed using Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM). (C) 2020 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
