An Lc-Clc Compensated Cpt System To Achieve The Maximum Power Transfer For High Power Applications

Capacitive Power Transfer system uses an electric filed to achieve wireless power transfer. Therefore, increasing coupler voltage is a good method to increase transfer power. However, the high voltage provided by the compensation topology may lead to a higher requirement for the CPT system which increases the system cost and the breakdown risk for the compensation components. In this paper, a novel LC-CLC compensated circuit is proposed for the high-power CPT applications with which the maximum power can be achieved with the specified coupler voltages. The system working property is analyzed, and the calculated process is given in detail. Then, a 2kW CPT system is designed with the proposed LC-CLC topology. Experimental results show that the coupler voltages can be fully used to transfer power. Analysis results agree well with the experiment.
