摘要

A multi-section laser PIC for use as a directly modulated transmitter is demonstrated. The unique architecture of the chip, employing a master-slave configuration, delivers chirp reduction and enables error-free transmission of 10 Gb/s on-off keyed signal over 37 km of single-mode fiber.
