A Method To Predict The Trends Of Operating Performance Of Capacitive Voltage Transformers

In order to predict the trend of the operating performance of capacitive voltage transformers (CVTs), an innovative method, known as dual regression analysis algorithm, is proposed. Measured environmental parameters and CVT performance parameters are divided into groups chronologically. Each group of data set establishes one first-round regression equation between the environmental parameters and the performance parameters of a certain CVT. By extracting the coefficients of the first-round regression equations in different time windows and forming a set of vectors containing the environmental parameter coefficients, the second-round regression equation between the environmental parameter coefficients and the chronological time windows can be established, and thereby obtaining the CVT performance parameters, which are used to evaluate the operating performance and to predict the trend of the CVT operating performance. Real data are used to explain and verify the theory and the procedure.
