Effective elimination of endocrine disrupting bisphenol a and S from drinking water using phenolic resin-based activated carbon fiber: Adsorption, thermodynamic and kinetic studies

摘要
•Bisphenol A and S were adsorbed using phenolic resin based activated carbon fiber.•Effect of pH, temperature and ionic strength were studied for the adsorption.•Adsorption isotherm and Kinetic models were fitted for the validation with experimental data.•Effective ∼99 % removal of BPA and BPS at pH 7, 15 °C achieved in 2 min.•Fast adsorption kinetic rate are due to synergetic effect of surface functional groups and high porosity.
