Circulation of olives, figs and grapes in the area of El Argar culture in south-eastern Spain

•A total of 22 archaeobotanically investigated sites have been revised.•Olea europaea, Vitis vinifera and Ficus carica remains are reviewed.•A new perspective for the interpretation of food exchange pattern in El Argar.•The routes proposed suggest directions from south to north and from east to west.•Castellón Alto, Cerro de las Viñas, La Bastida, Tira del Lienzo and Gatas are the main nodes.
