摘要
Lehmann et al. proposed that EEG comprises periods of quasi-stable spatial configurations that remain stable for 80–120ms before rapidly transitioning to different microstate. Functional connectivity analysis within these “microstates” may contain additional information for the functional organization of the EEG during resting state. Minimum Spanning Tree (MST) is a method to characterize network topology. Since alterations of EEG microstates were reported in schizophrenia, disturbed functional connectivity between brain regions within these microstates may appear.
