A histological study on the tendons at chiasma plantare in pes cavus

•The present study highlights the gross anatomic as well as the histological aspects of the tendons involved in the chiasma plantare in the cadaveric feet presenting pes cavus.•Different tendinous interconnections between the tendons of flexor digitorum longus and flexor hallucis longus were noted.•Histological study revealed lymphocytes in the tendon sheath and stretched tendons.
