Web-Based Calculator for ASTM E2677 Limits of Detection

ASTM-14 E2677, Standard Test Method for Determining Limits of Detection in Explosive Trace Detectors, is a relatively new standard for the limits of detection (LOD) in explosive trace detectors (ETDs). A unique feature of this standard is that it comes with a web-based calculator (https://www-s.nist.gov/loda/index.html) on a National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) server for performing the limits of detection computations. This is a follow-up paper to the paper by Verkouteren et al., "ASTM E2677, International Standard on Limit of Detection for Explosive Trace Detectors-Explosives, Opioids, and Ozone," which is included in this publication. The Verkouteren paper discusses the historical development of this standard and provides several applications of this LOD standard beyond its original development for ETDs. The scope of the current paper is the web-based computational tool for this standard.
