Pro resolving inflammatory effects of the lipid mediators of omega 3 fatty acids and its implication in SARS COVID-19

•SPMs are promising substances and suggest a clinical trial be initiated to test their ability to activate resolution of lung inflammation.•SPMs could reduce tissue damage in COVID 19 patients to influence the cytokine storm.•The focus could be in the adjuvant management or for the improvement and resolution of chronic lung and heart inflammation in the post-acute phase of this disease.
