Land use regression modeling of microscale urban air temperatures in greater Vancouver, Canada

•Microscale temperatures partly reflected features of geography and built environment.•The predictive power of independent variables varied depending on model location.•Some locations had model R2 comparable with those reported for air pollution models.•Future studies should minimize within-route temporal variability for better data.
