MoS2 sensitized TiO2 double-layer nanostructure arrays for photoelectrochemical water splitting

A novel MoS2 sensitized MoS2-TiO2 double-layer nanostructure arrays has successfully designed and prepared. The MoS2 as a sensitizer enhance the photoelectrochemical performance of MoS2-TiO2. The obtained were characterized by scanning electron microscopy, Transmission electron microscopy, high-resolution TEM and photoelectrochemical measurements. According to the photoelectrochemical performance, the sensitized MoS2-TiO2 nanostructures could obviously enhace the photocurrent compared to the single TiO2 nanowires. Moreover, the sample exhibits the best photoelectrochemical performance when the feed ratio of MoS2 is 60%.
