The Design of High-performance CML Drive with 5Gbps

The CML is a high-speed, low noise, low power and low-cost serial interface. Based on 0.13 mu m CMOS process, this paper provide a design of a CML drive consists of Level Switch Module with Accelerating Tube and pre-emphasis module, which bite rate can reach 5Gbps. The Level Switch Module with Accelerating Tube makes level switching faster and has better Anti-interference factors. And the pre-emphasis module can solve intersymbol interference in long-distance transmission. This drive can be applied to the physical layer of network, its output voltage swing can reach 800mv.
