The Study on 3D Visualization Technique of Island-Taking Chengzhou Island for Example

Based on high resolution remote sensing data and large scale DEM, this study established the Chengzhou Island 3D scene in ARCIGS10 software. And the typical 3D models of ground objects built up in SKETCHUP8.0 software are imported and optimized in the 3D scene by using a Multi-layers Geodatabase Centralized Management (MGCM) way which can enhance the running efficiency and speed remarkably. Moreover, the 3D visualization scene of Chenzhou Island is displayed in Arcscene platform, obtaining a good result.
