Performance optimization for a novel combined cooling, heating and power-organic Rankine cycle system with improved following electric load strategy based on different objectives

•A novel CCHP-ORC system and corresponding improved FEL strategy were proposed.•Several operation and configuration parameters were synergistically optimized.•System performance was compared and analyzed based on different objectives.•The optimal ATCS, PECS, CDER and U indexes reached 38.11%, 21.05%, 47.61% and 35.38% respectively.
