The long-term effect of neurodynamics vs exercise therapy on pain and function in people with carpal tunnel syndrome: A randomized parallel-group clinical trial

•Neurodynamics therapy is beneficial in mild to moderately severe carpal tunnel syndrome.•Exercise-based therapy is effective, but not as much as neurodynamics therapy.•The neurodynamics therapy approach combined nerve-specific mobilization with home exercise.•Improvements after neurodynamics therapy are maintained for over 6 months.•Patients can avoid surgery after receiving neurodynamics or exercise-based therapy.
