摘要
We compared the biomechanical and morphologic remodeling of the autograft at 1 year among patients with AI, patients with AS, and healthy controls. Among 210 patients (2011-2016) who underwent the Ross procedure, 71 (41 with AS and 30 with AI) had cardiovascular CMR studies fit for analysis. Healthy adults were used as controls. At 1 year, those undergoing the Ross procedure had slightly dilated and stiffer autograft roots compared with the aortic root in healthy controls. Sinuses of Valsalva volumes were homogenously distributed among the left, right, and noncoronary sinuses in autograft roots. There were no substantial differences in autograft root size, distensibility, and geometry between patients with AS and AI.
