摘要
•HTR2A gene variants (G-1438A/T102C) were associated with obsessive-compulsive disorder.•The association only remained for females and those with early-onset OCD.•When using a more conservative statistical approach, these associations no longer reached significance levels.•Functional consequences of these variants are unclear.•Research utilizing larger sample sizes and incorporating sex and age of onset variables is needed.
