摘要

•The efficiency of circulating miR-21 was better in diagnosing subclinical DCM.•MiR-21, combined with the duration of diabetes, HbA1c%, and lipid profiles has the largest AUC in the diagnosis of DCM.•MiR-21 protested against HG/PA-induced impaired mitochondrial biogenesis and cell apoptosis.
