Localization on SpatialSound Image with Multiple Parametric Loudspeakers

A parametric loudspeaker has a higher directivity and can form a spatial narrow audible area. Moreover, it can design the sound image on a reflector by utilizing its reflected sound. However, it is difficult to design the sound image in the air without the reflector. Therefore, we propose the design method of the spatial sound image with multiple parametric loudspeakers. We focus on the radiation characteristics of acoustic waves which are radially transmitted from the sound source. In the proposed method, we design the spatial sound image by reproducing the radiation characteristics of the virtual sound source in the air. From the experimental results, we confirmed that we can design the spatial sound image.
