A Message Passing Mechanism for Reconfigurable Communications Components Interconnected by Network-On-Chip Fabric

One promising solution for interconnecting the reconfigurable communications components in a E2R terminal is by network-on-chip fabric. In line with this direction, this paper proposes a message passing mechanism between the reconfigurable communications components in a terminal, in particular the process of injecting and ejecting messages into and out from the network-on-chip fabric. The proposed message passing system and procedures are important for the on chip operating environment: like supporting switching, routing functions.
