An investigation on nanoporous electrodes is discussed in this paper. Using an electrical impedance analysis method, L2ePt (a nanoporous platinum deposited electrode) impedance characteristics were compared to standard Ag/AgCl electrodes and flat platinum electrodes. The analysis revealed the impedance of flat electrodes were ten times larger than those of the nanoporous plated electrodes and Ag/AgCl electrodes.
