Personal Information Management (PIM) has evolved from simple maintenance of usercreated data to access and management of data relevant and related to the user and the user's social network. Users also typically have multiple systems/devices they use for maintaining (and communicating with) their social network. In this talk I will discuss the need for pervasive awareness of the user's social context. Semantic Web technologies offer possibilities for a rich representation of social networks, in turn enabling new types of applications and functionality.
