摘要
•A fluorescence polarization assay for BADGE, BFDGE and their derivatives was developed.•These compounds exhibited dose-dependent binding to human estrogen receptor (ER) α.•These compounds showed no agonistic activities, but some of them exhibited anti-estrogenic activities.•Structural basis for interactions of these compounds with ER was elucidated by molecular docking.•Computer modeling can predict the receptor-binding properties of unsuspected chemicals.
