Construction of Asthma Local Gene Network for Revealing its Relationship with Nutrient Metabolism Modules.

The local gene network (LGN) method was utilized to construct the local gene network of asthma coupled with several nutrient metabolism modules, containing 13 asthma-related genes and 27 metabolic pathways in which they are involved. This network revealed the complex relationship between nucleotide metabolism, amino acid metabolism, carbohydrate metabolism and asthma genes. Among them, the most closely related to asthma LGN is the amino acid metabolism module, providing a primary technological basis for the study of mechanism of dietary effects on asthma.
