An extremely low-crosstalk WDM demultiplexer with an automatic error-correction capability enabling temperature insensitivity and high-yield integration on low-end Si PICs

We demonstrate a novel demultiplexer capable to resolve phase-error-induced impairments. With a simple control algorithm targeting integration, crosstalks of as low as −58 to −49 dB have been obtained. This technology enabling temperature insensitivity and high yields drastically improves performance and cost of WDM transceivers.
