Antimicrobial resistance: Concerns of healthcare providers and people with CF

•Antimicrobial resistance in cystic fibrosis is a concern for both healthcare providers and people with CF.•Both providers and patients surveyed stated Pseudomonas spp. and Burkholderia spp were the most concerning organisms in regard to resistance.•The majority of healthcare providers state they have discussed antimicrobial resistance with their patients; only half of patients recall these discussions.•People with CF and their families prefer education on antimicrobial resistance in the clinic setting.
