Vestiges of Past Generation - Threats to 5G Core Network.

Due to the commercialization of 5G NSA network service and high-performance smartphones, mobile service usage has rapidly increased these days. Accordingly, the communication network has been changed into an environment where different kinds of abnormal traffic can more easily flow in and people have now started paying attention to security threats related to previous telecommunication. In particular, 5G NSA network uses GTP (GPRS Tunneling Protocol) and Diameter Protocol used in LTE communication, so it is naturally exposed to the attacks based on these protocols. This paper aims to describe different kinds of threats existing in 5G NSA networks and measures to cope with the threats.
